Learn How to Draw Anime

Let us start by identifying what is anime manga. It is simply a Japanese animated comic book or movie. Anime is a japanese term used for describing the word animation or animated and manga is the Japanese word for comic.

Learning how to draw anime characters is no different from drawing other things people are interested in and requiring only a basic art class to get started. The very basic foundations to all drawings are the same. You first start out with simple shapes and then move on to advance shading and blending techniques to add life. Imagination is one of the elements for drawing anime. If you can think about it you can draw it.

The style of drawing is where the difference comes in and what makes anime manga so popular today. For instance the big eyes, eyes are one key factor that identifies the majority of anime art. Plenty of simple geometric shapes also follow a pattern along with unique characters and all the creative costumes.

Learning to draw anime manga first begins by having an interest in the subject from watching a favorite anime TV show, one of the manga characters from your favorite book or card collection. Kids, teenagers and young adults can relate to the characters they watch because of some good moral stories or the feelings they express. Sometimes they are just cute and adorable.

Now this interest becomes a part of their lives and by drawing it they feel closer to the characters, sort of like a friend. It’s also a way of expressing themselves while role playing with the people. This helps them in their creative development.

You have already taken the first step in starting to draw anime by having an interest and desire to draw something you enjoy. The important step is to start by taking action. So pick up the pencil and just begin sketching the simplest anime character.
